Yes, it is true! A kickstarter campaign was launched by Rob Thomas (with full support and a happy message by Kristen Bell [i.e. Veronica herself]) in order to finance the production of an official Veronica Mars movie.  Score for fans of the series!

If you need any proof of just how much the fans love the series, you should note that the campaign was launched today (March 13) and as of the time I am writing this (just after 11 pm) it has already surpassed it’s $2 million dollar goal by $300,000. Yeah. Darn straight. And there’s 29 days left to go.

If you are a fan (as I am) you should march your little (or however you choose to describe it) rear end over to the Veronica Mars Kickstarter Page.  If it’s not enough that you are supporting an awesome movie and cast, there are plenty of awesome fan perks, such as t-shirts, dvds, scripts, etc that you will get depending on how much you can donate.  How is that for appreciation?
